Location

Recreation VBS is based operationally at College Avenue Presbyterian Church.  We intentionally move the annual camp around the city of Oakland so as to introduce campers to the beauty, depth and diversity of our city.  In the past we have met in the Dimond and Laurel Districts, Rockridge, Uptwown and Downtown.

Policy

Based in the Christian Tradition, from a Reformed perspective, we believe that faith and life are inseparable.  We encounter the divine both in the beauty and the hardness of the world.  We are all called to be creators, participants and actors in our world.  While firmly rooted in the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, we do not exclude or force-proseltize those of other faiths and/or traditions.
